LifeLight is an in-depth small group Bible study that meets weekly. Two courses are held each year–one in the fall starting in September, and one starting in February. The topic is usually a specific book of the Bible or a topic based on a book or books of the Bible.
Participants receive a lesson to work on at home each day of the week, and then once a week the group members come together to discuss the lesson and share what they have learned.
At Christ Lutheran Church one of the LifeLight groups meet in home of a host family which provides a cozy and familiar atmosphere the other class at the Church. Good fellowship and tasty treats become an important part of the group study as well as growing in knowledge of God’s Word and in faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Winter of 2020 LifeLight study is on the book of 2 Thessalonians as recorded in the New Testament.
You are welcome to join one of the groups! For additional information, contact the church office at 309-637-5309 or Mrs. Sue Lee at 309-697-9436.
There is a rotating staff of volunteers who lead various classes and administrate the Sunday School. Study guides are used to lead children and youth into a proper understanding of God’s Word for their age level. During the 1st quarter of 2020 the children learned about the Apostles’ Creed and the Lord’s Prayer.
